Dayton Ice Skating
Looking for some outdoor or indoor “winter fun?” Lace up those skates and head for some glide time on the ice. Enjoy ice skating outside in downtown Dayton along the banks of the Great Miami River at Five Rivers MetroParks RiverScape ice rink. Sheltered under the covered pavilion, the MetroParks Ice Rink measures 70’ x 150’ and sets the scene as a perfect winter wonderland in downtown Dayton. Skate rentals, hot chocolate and snacks and fire-pits ensure a magical experience. From August to April, you can enjoy indoor rink fun at the Kettering Recreation Center.
Hockey
Greater Dayton is home to amateur hockey tournaments such as the International Silver Sticks Amateur Youth Hockey Tournament in December. The Arena at the Kettering Recreation Center hosts youth hockey games and tournaments, along with other ice arenas in the Dayton/Miami Valley.
